Where I’ve come from

I’m a creative digital professional with 30 years industry experience. After graduating in Graphic Design in 1990, I worked for Dorling Kindersley at the point multimedia and the internet were beginning to shape how brands and organisations promote themselves online.

I worked in London for 10 years as a designer for various agencies. Returning to Leicester in 2000, I co-founded my own digital agency Cite, building it into a 20 strong, £1.5m turnover business. I worked with a broad range of  clients including NHS, ABB, Continental Tyres and the BBC, among others.

In recent years I have worked with the Graphic Design students at De Montfort University, setting industry briefs and teaching modules in UX/UI. Alongside my work with the Digital Culture Network , I undertake occasional consultancy and freelancer website projects, helping smaller clients improve their website presence.
