Digital Culture Awards Shortlist Announcement!

We’re excited to announce the next set of organisations who are in with a chance of winning a Digital Culture Award, brought to you by Arts Council England and the Digital Culture Network.

Today, we’re sharing the Shortlist for our Income Generation & Data Driven categories.

Income Generation

Our Income Generation award celebrates innovative digital revenue generation, monetisation or income diversification. The shortlisted projects showcase new and creative ways to monetise digital content or development of new or existing income sources through digital. Our brilliant Judge was Liam Darbon – Head of Omnichannel Trading, Tate.

The shortlisted projects are:

  • Arvon for their Arvon at Home online programme of creative writing courses and events.
  • Opera North for From Couch To Chorus
  • The Wardrobe Theatre and Sharp Teeth Theatre for Sherlock In Homes – an innovative digital murder mystery

Data Driven

Our Data Driven award celebrates those who have used data to create organisational change or support strategic decision making. The shortlisted organisations have embraced a data driven approach to some or all their activity. Our brilliant Judge was Rishi Coupland – Head of Research and Insight, BFI.

The shortlisted organisations are:

  • BOM (Birmingham Open Media) for Queens Baton
  • Sound and Music for using data to understand barriers to, and create opportunities for, new music
  • Insights Alliance: A partnership between Indigo Ltd, Baker Richards and One Further for the Culture Restart Toolkit

Get ready for the ceremony!

You can find out who has won at our virtual awards ceremony taking place on 20 January 2022.

We want the event to be a celebration of all the inspiring digital work accomplished across England in the past 2 years. Tickets will be limited and we’ll update the website soon with details about how you can attend virtually and get involved.
