About the webinar
This 60-minute webinar, hosted by Craig Pryde, founder of Different Breed ®, will introduce you to the often-overlooked challenges faced by people with hidden disabilities. Focusing on visual impairments, this session will give you practical insights to help you improve the accessibility of your website to make the user experience more inclusive.
You will learn:
How visually impaired people navigate your website by using screen readers, and how to make that experience easier for them.
How people with colour blindness, epilepsy, or glaucoma view digital content and how to make your colour design more accessible.
How checkout expirations can be a challenge for some users and how to ensure a smooth checkout process for people using assistive technology.
How to improve your website navigation for keyboard users.
Examples in this session will centre on websites in the events sector, but the principles can be applied to any site. The session aims to shift your perspective, helping you think like users with hidden impairments and design more inclusive digital experiences.

Accessible ticketing is critical for promoting inclusivity and diversity in the UK’s creative and cultural sector. Under the Equality Act 2010, service providers must make reasonable adjustments so that disabled individuals have equitable access to services. In this resource, Tech Champion Adam takes you through how to enhance your ticketing inclusivity and ensure equal access for all.
Society should be designed to meet the needs of everyone living in it. The social model of disability holds how people are disabled by barriers in society, not by their medical condition or disability. This resource will explain how you can use the social model of disability to improve digital accessibility.
Visual assets like videos and images can help demonstrate how your venue or facilities have been designed to be inclusive and accessible, empowering all visitors to feel confident that the environment is suitable for them and when they visit. This resource explains how videos and images are a great way to communicate your access offer, making sure every visitor feels confident in enjoying the space without the worry of how they'll navigate it. Making digital solutions to enhance your accessibility is easier than you may think.
