Where have you come from?
I’ve worked in social media and digital marketing for over a decade across the public and private sectors. Most recently I’ve been a freelance social media consultant working specifically with the arts and charities.
I started out working in marketing for the University of Sussex which is where I first cut my teeth on social, before moving on to run the social media for charities including the HIV information website Avert and the domestic abuse charity Surviving Economic Abuse.
At the opposite end of the size spectrum, I developed from scratch the social media for Medical News Today — one of the biggest health information websites in the world. There I brought in millions of social referral visits and engagements every year.
As a freelancer I’ve worked with art and charity clients on their social strategies, identifying their audiences and developing their social funnels, setting up tracking and Pixels, designing and running campaigns, promoting exhibitions and events, evaluating their performance, and much more!
How can you help?
Social media platforms are constantly developing and evolving, and it can be hard to keep up. I’ve got tons of experience in setting up and managing the technical side of social and want to help demystify the backend of platforms so that you feel confident in using the tools available and know you’re getting the most out of your social budgets.
I’m passionate about using social media to listen to and understand your audience, which can help inform every part of your organisation. I believe that you don’t have to have the biggest of budgets to get the most out of your social media platforms, there’s a lot you can be doing with organic content.
