Introducing the Winners of the 2023 Digital Culture Awards.
As the Tech Champion for eCommerce here at the Digital Culture Network, I am very excited to see the return of Museum Shop Sunday.
Museum Shop Sunday lands on Sunday 27th November 2022 and is a campaign organised by The Association of Cultural Enterprises to promote the vital role that retail plays in supporting the creative and cultural sector. It’s also an excellent way to drive sales in the build-up to Christmas.
The campaign encourages museums and other cultural venues such as galleries, historic houses, cathedrals, arts centres, libraries and zoos to join together and create a buzz about fantastic cultural retail. Organisations are encouraged to schedule special events and promotions that will highlight what makes shopping at your venue unique. Previous participants have reported big gains in revenue, footfall and online traffic.
The campaign highlights how museum shops offer:
The Association of Cultural Enterprises has created a range of resources to support promoting the event on social media – including a hashtag #MuseumShopSunday , free logos and images for use on social media. There is also the chance to feature on their social media channel too and reach an even wider audience. Visit Museum Shop Sunday to find out more.
