I joined as one of the first Tech Champions in May 2019. I’ve since helped over 380 organisations with 1-2-1 support and delivered over 30 webinars, workshops and talks on a variety of topics related to analytics and insight. When I joined, I said this was absolutely my dream job and that still stands. It combines my longstanding interest in arts and culture, passion for digital technology and supporting the North West region, which I care deeply about. I get to work alongside incredible organisations and individuals across the country every single day!
Website analytics is a huge area of focus – the shift from the old version of Google Analytics since it’s shutdown in July 2023 continues. Many people are choosing to switch to Google Analytics 4 (GA4) – getting to grips with the new platform and learning ways to get the most out of it. The webinars and resources I created on GA4 continue to be popular and we’re working on the next stage of these.
We’ve been out and about a lot recently at the Meet your Digital Culture Network events, and I’ll be at the Grow your digital content skills with Google Arts & Culture events in Brighton and Manchester in the coming weeks. I’m delivering a session on GA4 at the AMA Digital Marketing Day 2023 in November, so working on the content for that.
I can help them define the right metrics which show they are on track against their objectives. A lot of organisations and individuals I support are looking to make the most of the tools they already have and learn how to interpret and share the data they contain. I do this in many ways; 1-2-1 video meetings or phone calls, in-person workshops or simply replying to a quick question over email.
