Google Analytics 4 Audit Tool 👉 Access the tool here

To use the tool you must be logged into the same Google Account which has access to your Google Analytics 4 property. No one can see the data but you and the default data it loads is from Google’s demo account.

Cookie Consent

The compliant way of handling cookies is to ask a user for consent before anything is saved on their device. You can do this by using a Cookie Management Platform (CMP). I’ve listed some below with their monthly cost and an example website where you can see it in action. Most platforms have the same functionality, but check the pricing tiers to see if there’s anything missing that you potentially need.

If you are planning to run retargeting ads with Google Ads, you must have a CMP which uses a protocol called Consent Mode V2 (all of the below platforms do).

Cookie Management Platform Cost per month (from) Free tier? Example websites using it
Complianz (for WordPress) £4.33 No National Horse Racing Museum
CookieBot £11 Yes – up to 50 subpages Royal Armouries
CookieFirst £9 Yes – one third-party script University of Portsmouth
Cookie Information £13 No Zoological Society of London
CookiePro (OneTrust) £10 No Museum Development West Midlands
Cookie Script £7 Yes – 20,000 monthly pageviews Museum of the Home
CookieYes £8 Yes – 25,000 monthly pageviews Flatpack Festival

If you need help deciding on the right platform for you, installing it on your website, and configuring it correctly – we’re here to help.
