Meet the 2023 Digital Culture Awards Shortlist
In this article
After hundreds of entries and two rounds of judging, we’re excited to announce the Shortlist for the 2023 Digital Culture Awards!
Chosen by our expert Judges – leaders at the apex of digital and culture – these entries all showcase a dedication to utilising digital technology to change, grow or reach audiences. They represent the breadth and strength of digital innovation happening across the country, and are brilliant examples of how technology can streamline, transform and bridge divides.
Learn more about all the entries using the below buttons, and be sure to cast your vote in our two People’s Choice categories – Being Social and Digital Inclusion. Voting is open now until 12pm on Monday 20 March.
Thank you to everyone who entered and congratulations again to those who made it to the Longlist – the Judges all highlighted how strong every entry was, and how difficult it was to narrow them down to just a few.
Congratulations to the 2023 Digital Culture Awards Shortlist – we can’t wait to find out who wins on 29 March!
I was hugely impressed by the quality of entries and the energy of the nominees who brought them to life.
Zoe Amar, Digital Ambassador Judge

As we near the end of 2025, we’re looking back at the digital skills that mattered most to the creative and cultural sector this year – spotlighting the Digital Culture Network resources that you loved the most. Look back at them, save them for later, or share with a colleague!
During Captioning Awareness Week (10-16 November), we caught up with Rachel Jele, Head of Advocacy and Engagement at Stagetext. She told us about the significance of Captioning Awareness Week and why theatre captioning and subtitles are so important for the creative and cultural sector, now more than ever.
