About the webinar

In our ‘Digital skills for libraries’ webinar series, the Digital Culture Network looks at key tools and strategies to support library organisations that have taken some of their services online and are engaging with their communities digitally whilst their buildings are closed or access is restricted. Watch the first webinar which focused on creating and delivering online content.

This 75-minute session looks at ‘Deepening online engagement with audiences’, where we will explore how libraries have been reaching their communities and share tips to increase engagement with digital services and artistic programmes.

You will learn

Haydn Corrodus, previous Social Media Tech Champion, will explore how you can use social media tools and strategies to maintain a loyal online following.

The session will cover:

  • Creating a tone of voice and organisation identity
  • Tips for creating interaction/comments with your posts
  • How best to manage social media activity and planning within small teams
  • How best to sell/promote online events

Peggy Naumann, previous Email Marketing Tech Champion, will guide you through the core elements that make up a successful email marketing campaign to effectively engage your audiences.

The session will cover:

  • Understanding who your audience is and defining your aims
  • Types and structure of emails
  • Planning your email content and calls to action
